BREAST FORMS
These wonderful lightweight, breathable, affordable breast forms are made from 100% medical grade silicone.
They come in 2 different styles - Shape & Curve.
Please see the sizing guide to help determine what size you would need to order for your breast form.
Shape is perfect for women who are looking for something with a subtle profile.
Curve is for women who are looking for a fuller look that is seen from a larger cup size.
The design of the boost breast form means the prosthesis is able to be worn in a mastectomy pocketed bra, or against the skin. The design means only the border of the breast form is against the skin.
Due to the breast form being made from silicone is it suitable for swimming.

REBATES
There are 2 way you can get financial assistance for the purchase of a breast form/prosthesis - private health insurance and Medicare.
Private Health Insurance - depends on your provider and level of cover. Medicare requires you to use this prior to using Medicare if you have cover.
Medicare: from https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/external-breast-prostheses-reimbursement-program
Help with the cost of an external breast prosthesis after breast cancer surgery. You can get up to a maximum of $400 for each prosthesis.
To get this you must:
-
be enrolled in Medicare
-
have had breast surgery as a result of breast cancer
-
not have purchased and claimed under this program in the past 2 years.
You'll need to pay for your prosthesis upfront.
If you have private health insurance, make a claim through them before you claim a reimbursement from us. After you claim from your private health insurer, we’ll pay the difference.
If you’re buying your first prosthesis, there is no waiting period. You can claim for your reimbursement straight away. There is a 2 year period before you can claim for a replacement. We base this on the dates of your receipts for the old prosthesis and the new one. You may be able to claim earlier if there’s a medical reason or damage from a declared natural disaster. When you claim within 2 years of your first claim, you must include either:
-
a letter from your doctor explaining your medical condition.
-
a letter explaining how the disaster damaged your prosthesis.
You or your doctor can write the letter explaining how the natural disaster damaged your prosthesis.
Under the program you can’t claim for items such as:
-
bras
-
post breast surgery swimwear
-
internal prostheses
-
prosthetic nipple inserts.
-
If you claimed for a replacement prosthesis you bought less than 2 years ago, you can’t claim to replace it because:
-
it was the wrong choice
-
you changed your mind
-
it’s an incorrect fit
-
it has deteriorated due to everyday use
-
it’s faulty or damaged, unless damaged by a declared national disaster.
If any of these things happen, you should either:
contact the shop where you bought it to discuss your options
contact your private health fund to see if they cover a replacement.
